Fishing in Belize

Perhaps one of Belize’s best kept secrets is its amazing fishing. Fishing on Ambergris Caye is growing in popularity, mostly because of the likelihood of catching Tarpon and other large game fish year round. The area’s estuaries provide the perfect conditions for constant fish movement.

There are bonefish and barracuda in the lagoons. Sailfish, Marlin and other game fish roam the deep waters just past the reef. The flats in the Caribbean are so vast that there is a very low likelihood that fishermen will be competing for the same fish in the area.
